In today’s post, I will share with you guys how to motivate yourself and I can tell you guys that it’s not easy to stay motivated to work, there are days that will be good that you will get things done and there will be days that you won’t want to do anything if that’s the case don’t force yourself to do anything. So without wasting any more time let’s begin.

Motivating yourself can be hard, even I find it hard to stay motivated, you make goals to be able to achieve your dreams but then there are just days that you just don’t feel the same motivation when you set the goals.

One starts to think about what went wrong, honestly, I recently realized that when we set goals or make a to-do list we don’t take into account that something might go wrong or we don’t consider our feelings, we can’t avoid our feelings because they are an essential part of who we are as human beings, we have negative thoughts from time to time that brings one down that’s why I wrote a post on how to stop negative thoughts or sometimes it might just be that one is procrastinating, here is how to stop procrastinating.

Truly motivating yourself, like I said it’s not easy to motivate oneself but here are tips on how to motivate yourself that will help you along the way.

How To Motivate Yourself

Have Fun With Your Work: There is a saying that if you don’t have a passion for your work then you won’t enjoy your work, I would say that this is true to an extent because I might be having fun with my work but I don’t have passion towards the work am doing like other people do. So have fun with the work that you are doing whether you are passionate about it or not.

Express Your Frustration: The second tip on how to motivate yourself is to express yourself when you are frustrated, I always express myself whenever am frustrated, take for example I have been frustrated with Pinterest lately with them changing their algorithm (which I know some bloggers will understand) basically what I am saying is express yourself when you are frustrated whether it’s writing down or saying it out loud.

Have Something Insprational or Motivational At The Ready: Whenever you want to start working have something inspirational or motivational at the ready whether it’s qoutes or podcasts that you motivate you, that is going to help o motivate yourself to work.

Get Enough Sleep: Another tip on how to motivate yourself is to get enough sleep so that in the morning, you will feel energized enough to motivate yourself to work.

Get Rid Of Distractions: Another tip on how to motivate yourself is to get rid of distractions, one the bad habits that I know I have is that whenever I wake up the first thing I do is to pick up my phone and go straight to social media and it always affects me whenever I work, so what I started doing was I started using my phone to listen to radio stations and use my laptop to work and so far it has been working. so get rid of the things that distract you easily.

Stop Holding Your Failures Over Your Head: Tip number six on how to motivate yourself is to stop holding your failures over your head, most of us are guilty of this whenever we fail at something we hold it over our heads so when we decide that we want to start another thing we then become scared that we are going to fail. Just stop holding your failures over your head and instead learn from it.

Remind Yourself Of Your Why: Always remind yourself about why you started what you are doing, whenever I am about to work and I do not feel motivated to work, I always remind myself why I started what I am doing.

Be Grateful: Another tip on how to motivate yourself is to be always grateful, Always be grateful for what you have, for the little things that happens your life.

Mix Things Up: Once in a while change things up, if you work in your home why don’t you go out o your backyard and work, change up the scene once in a while.

Declutter: Cleaning your space can help with motivating you to work, it can even help when you just want to clear your head.

Take Breaks: The last tip on how to motivate yourself is to take a break, once in a while take a break from work and just relax, all work and no play makes us dull people.

That is all the tips on how to motivate yourself, hope it helps you a lot. Don’t forget to WASH YOUR HANDS and PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING, Stay Safe Guys.
