How To Build Your Confidence

Spread the love

How to build your confidence is this week’s post since I talked about how to start loving yourself last week, I decided to share with you how to build your confidence, so without wasting any time let’s get into it.

Building your confidence is a huge part of who you are or who you are going to be, if you have confidence in yourself you become comfortable with you are, you will be willing to do anything to achieve your goals, both personally or professionally and you will also have positive attitude towards your future, you won’t care about what people think of you.

Someone who does not believe in themselves will never have faith that they can achieve their goals and they will always focus more on the negative side of who they are and what the future is going to be. Luckily confidence can be improved and that is if you put in the hard work and focus on yourself and no one else and also building your confidence will take time, it is not something that will happen overnight, you have to give it and yourself time to grow.

How To Build Your Confidence

Encourage Yourself: Tip number one on how to build your confidence is to encourage yourself, if you don’t encourage yourself no one will, if you do not push yourself no one else will. You need to be your own cheerleader, cheer yourself on when no one is, be your own motivator and from that, you will start to build your confidence slowly.

Think Of The Things You Are Good At And Capitalize on It: Think of the things that you are good at and write them out and then look for different ways to capitalize on it, look for different ways to make money with your talent, I can tell this will bring you nothing but satisfaction.

Let Go Of Your Fears & Self Doubt: Another tip on how to build your confidence is to let go of your fears and self-doubt, I know this one can be a bit hard for you to do but if you can overcome your fears and stop doubt yourself and your abilities when it comes to what you can do then you will be much happier.

Do What Makes You Happy: Another step on how to build your confidence is to do what makes you happy always If you do not do want makes you happy then there’s no way you can build your confidence. To build your confidence, you need to do what makes you happy whether it’s listening to music or drawing or just for you to NetFlix and chill.

Stop Caring What Others Think About You: I can’t stress this enough you need to stop caring what others think of you, if you want to have confidence in yourself then you need to stop caring what people think of you if you keep caring what other people think, you will lose yourself in the process.

Stop Comparing Yourself To Others: Another tip on how to build your confidence is to stop comparing yourself to others, comparing yourself to others is very bad for your mental health, you will keep looking for things to change in yourself, you will keep finding fault in yourself which is not good. so take that step and stop comparing yourself to others.

Practice Gratitude: You need to practice gratitude everyday, write down what it is that you are grateful everyday, this will help you a lot.

Practice Self Care: Another important tip on how to build your confidence is to practice self care, practicing self care is a very important part of building your confidence, if you don’t take care of yourself, there won’t be anything you can. they say health is wealth so take care of your self in this process of building your confidence.

Start Setting Goals & Taking Risks: You need to start setting goals to achieve your dreams if you want to start setting goals here is how to set goals so that you can get started on goal setting today, you need to also learn how to start taking risks when it comes to your dreams.

Don’t Strive To Be Perfect: The Last tip on how to build your confidence is to not strive to be perfect instead you need to learn to accept your mistakes and know that no one is perfect.

That is all I have for you on how to build your confidence, I hope you find this blog post helpful. let me know in the comments what you think about the post.

  5. Great tips! I love that you reminded us to not strive to be perfect. Trying to live up to perfection is a sure way to ruin confidence.

  8. One thing I struggle with is identifying what I’m good at and trying to capitalize on them. I know how good of a strategy this is and how I should be using it to my advantage, but it’s really hard for me to do that for some reason. I’ve been trying to encourage myself and be confident! Thank you for sharing 🙂

I have a career I am good at doing and I know what I want to achieve in it; but the issue with me is that when things are going tough and seems like it not working out, I get easily tired of it and later leads to depression but with the article I have just read now, I’m really impressed and I hope it will give me the courage so move on. Thank you

  16. Working on this at the moment. Need to give myself a kick up the bum. It’s not necessary that I feel worthless or that I care what people think, it’s more of just a heavy fog and quicksand that makes me not care.

I’m reading your post and feeling inspired to find some positivity. I’m going to write that list of good qualities and goals and sort myself out. Thanks

  17. I like that last one a lot. Perfection doesn’t exist and either do flaws. We have to ask ourselves what the standards we’re holding ourselves to really are, and where they came from. There is a lot of freedom to attain in this life!

  19. Great post! Perfectionism is a challenge to confidence- you constantly feel you are not doing ‘good enough’. It’s only when I started relaxing – working 70-80% of what I actually would normally have done, I realised everything doesn’t have to be perfect!

  27. I think it’s so easy to compare yourself to someone else, especially with social media. What we need to remember is that the majority of content that is shared online are the highlights, and we don’t see the day to day reality. Great post!

  28. It’s great to see a post on this because I think so many of us struggle to put ourselves first. I love your ideas which promote doing what we love, or what we’re confident at to channel that confidence. We spend too much time worrying about what other people think or doing things for other people. There’s no time for us so no wonder we don’t feel so confident!!!

  33. I recently saw a question in a guided journal – what are your biggest strengths – and I was left completely stumped. I mean, I am a fully adult person, well into my 30s, and I couldn’t answer a question on my biggest strengths… So I guess you could say that I am definitely in need of some confidence boost! Thank you for this list. 🙂
